The Caribbean Chamber of Commerce organises first Authentic
Caribbean Rum Masterclass in the Capital of Europe
Brussels, 8th July 2022 – The Caribbean Chamber of Commerce in Europe (CCCE) is proud to launch its first authentic Caribbean Rum Masterclass as part of its Caribbean Days’ promotion at the 1040 Bar of the Sofitel Brussels Europe on Monday afternoon, 25 July 2022.
The ‘Caribbean Days’ is a series of business and cultural events to showcase ‘The Best of the Caribbean’, featuring a Caribbean Culinary Week at the 1040 Restaurant of the Sofitel Brussels Europe, and several trade workshops to promote premium Caribbean products and services.
For the Caribbean Rum Masterclass CCCE has teamed up with Spiribam, the French owner and Distribution Company of Chairman’s Reserve of the Saint Lucia Distillers and its Belgian distributor Cinoco.
The event will be free of charge to professionals working in the Food & Beverage industry, including hotel- and restaurant managers, purchasing managers and sommeliers, as well as spirits’ wholesalers and retailers, who are invited to embark on an exceptional journey to discover the world of rum that will take us from Saint Lucia to Martinique and beyond.
From the traditional rum of Saint Lucia to the agricultural rum of Martinique, Spiribam’s Charles Laurent will be exploring different terroirs, distilleries, as well as production and aging methods. During this Masterclass, participants will be able to take part in a degustation of different vintages of Chairman’s Reserve, Admiral Rodney and Rhum J.M.
